Immerse yourself in a creative morning making a Woodcut Print.
Discover the basics of carving Japanese plywood, a lovely soft introductory material to work with. Get to grips practising working with various cutting tools and gather tips for carving your final design before printing on Japanese paper by hand.
Begin by creating a simple design either from your sketchbook or from visuals provided. We'll then transfer and carve your chosen design to Japanese plywood and run a test print before printing a final mini edition of your woodcut.
Small groups to ensure guided and personal tuition is given throughout the workshop.
Suitable for beginners.
All materials and refreshments provided.
